the news surrounding smallville they have cast general zod , and mason got cast for season9 there would hopefully the better villians in this season for clark to stop last year was alright but this year will be better because general zod is more powerful than doomsday and mason is more evil than tess mercer and the news about the other cast will be back and from my understanding chloe sullivan will be back for another season but i don't know about season10 . lois lane will be back this year more than 12 episode. tess mercer will be back this year also . oliver Queen will be back but this he will be drinking again. their would be no jimmy olsen and no davis bloome in season9 . because of last season finale ended. this season will bring hopefully smallville fan togther than ever . I call this season superman becoming the superhero everybody known from reading the comic books . that's it from right now I hope that this season will be a season that everybody will be cheering and jumping for joy about this that know body will forget. that's it for now.
I have collected all the series for Smallville.I'm glad that the show will be going for their ninth season. I think that clark will be finally able to embrace his ablity to fly. clark and lois will be able to be together. he will have more problems to face , he will have to take on general zod and plus he will have more villians like mason. I hope that oliver Queen a.k.a greenarrow that he will be great superhero. I hope that chloe will be a good guy and not to fall for the wrong guy last season she fall for davis bloome that she found out later in the season that he was doomsday she did'nt let sent him to the phantom zone so in the season finale jimmy olsen died because she did'nt let clark sent him to the phantom zone. I think that this season that this season will be a great season to start over so that he will be a step closer to be come the man of steel everybody knows. it was sad last season that clark and lana relationship ended , when lana made clark sick from kryptonite now this season will be a new year in the smallville methology.
I listened to SUPERMAN on the radio when I was a kid. Watched him in black & white when he came on TV. My dad took me to the movies to see SUPERMAN. I saw all of Chris Reeve's SUPERMAN movies. I watched all the "Lois & Clark" episodes on TV. I took my grandson to see the new Superman movie a couple years ago. (what a disappointment that was).
One night I was flipping channels and stumbled into SMALLVILLE. It was an early episode of season 1. Guess what? I did not like it. It looked like one of these new age teen movies. I forgot all about it until I stumbled into again during re-runs of season 7. I loved it. I now own all seasons from season 1 thru season 7.
I kept waiting for Clark to fly with a Superman costume on. I just know he has to do it sometime. Probably the very last episode of the last season.
Just a few weeks ago I realized Smallville is not about SUPERMAN. It's about CLARK KENT.
I wish I knew how to get in touch with the producers of the show to tell them how much an old SUPERMAN fan loves what they did with this legend.
me personaly i think the best way to bring young bruce wayne to smallville is to have bruce have a charity event in smallville and have lois and clark do a story on it for the daily planet.and to make a big twist have lois fall for bruce.and when bruce is about to leave have him say you will see me around supperboy (because lois and bruce were kidnaped and saves them both)

I must say that I am completely lost with the storyline of Smallville this season...It seems to me that they are just stretching the shows out because they have dug themselves into a hole they cannot get out of...why are they not letting him fly??? he should have known how to fly as he started practicing for it in Season 2 when he was levitating next to his bed!!! What are they going to do as he is already working at the Daily Planet, already knows Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen, AND DOOMSDAY IS ALREADY ON THE SHOW?! What is GOING ON?!?!?!
I'm am terribly disappointed, even angry at how poor this 8th season has been. The Legion episode was fine, but this season was nearly doomed by the financial constraints that the CW put on the budget of Smallville--getting rid of the villain? What were they thinking? The replacement isn't even evil anymore! Lex, whose bald head has made an appearance or two was a brilliantly written character--until this season. I disagree with others--I LOVED Lana, and I DO understand that to allow the storyline to match the movie and comic books, Lana had to be removed but I don't have to like the way they did it. Why did they bring her back this season? I'll tell you why--they were dying in the ratings and needed to bring someone back that they could afford. Are we going to see Lex again? Who knows. If everyone who used to watch the show sends a shiny quarter to be directed to the budget this season...maybe. And what is up with the March 12th episode? It was obvious to me (and I'm sure others) that they'd wipe away the episode with a time travel trip, but why the heck did they cut to the time travel scene, not allowing Lois to finish her sentence about who the new evil Kryptonian is? Of course, it's so the writers can keep this nonsense going. My wife and I will keep watching until the end of the season, but there's NO WAY we'll EVER buy this season on DVD. Shame on the CW for cutting the budget, getting rid of main characters, getting cheap on the Visual Effects (have you noticed there's less this season than in the past?), and for not firing these crappy writers.

Seeing the trailer, looks like Clark will finally reveal his secret to the world. Lois Lane to. I'm still waiting for his "glasses" persona. He needs to start flying. Am I right? I don't really like the fact that everyone will know his secret. Linda Lake has reappeared, will she still turn into water? Clark will need to get another costume. What do yall think?

I am so glad to see Lana return and to discover that the writers went back to resolve the lack of closure I felt as a viewer when Lana left. I think her "video goodbye" after being rid of Brainiac did not do justice to Clark, nor did it seem like a solid choice for conflict resolution. Simply put, it was "played."
I have never been a fan of the fated Clark-Lois get together. In my personal opinion, Durance's interpretation of Lois makes her too much of an aggressive, sarcastic, semi-promiscuous woman for me to like her being paired with Clark. I like the Lois character; she's a fiesty female and I support that, but I don't want that type of woman to be Clark's woman. Sorry, but he will forever be my "sweetheart" guy, and I have always wanted a "sweetheart" girl for him.
Needless to say, I was thrilled to see Lana resurface and that in the last 2 episodes, she and Clark have been allowed to achieve the necessary closure in their relationship. I feel that their fated separation is more palatable for me since I feel that their emotions are still present, and each is sacrificing for the greater good. I didn't want them parting with hurt and loss, confusion and regret, and unanswered questions for me. Now, I feel that Clark and Lana are finally on the same page with each other. They get it. The unity they always wanted is present, and the beautiful irony of the fact that they gain unity which only results in their separation is a sign of good writing! I will be sad to see Kristin Kruek (or rather to not see her) leave the show forever. She is a good actress, a beautiful young woman, and I like what she did with Lana Lang. She made me like her.

OMG Why is Lana still here? Who had the bright idea to give her powers? Just when I was really getting interested and excited about the Lois angle Lana comes back. There are not enough words to describe how much I hate her character. She is holding Clark back. Why can't the writers see that? I really hope that they have a better story line geared up for the rest of the season because I am really tired of watching week after week hoping for a progression in Clark's character; instead we are getting nothing but regression. Come on guys give us something we want.

What are Jerry and Joe thinking , where are they going with Smallville. Where are they going with Lois and Clark. First of all what's with Clark being all Lana is his one and true love. Lois is his soulmate and they're making it seem like she's his silver trophy. Even if they finally do get together in the series( which I doubt) its going be like oh she's second best next to Lana no that's just not how it is. I may not know all the different comic versions of Superman but I really familiar with the one where he fell for her first. Now he's still hung up on Lana and Lois is gaga for him. What the Frak is going on.
Although I wasn't thrilled that Lois got bumped by Lana's return, I must say that last week's kiss was a major WOW!! It was smoking hot and I thought the Lois/Clark kisses on the Valentine episode were pretty steamy. Yes, Tom and Kristen have on-camera chemistry but the producers need to tone it down a lot and crank up the Clark/Lois chemistry more. It will be a major let down if they don't connect before the series ends. The "almost" kiss of Lois and Clark at Chloe's wedding was to die for and I thought I did collapse when I heard "It can't be -- it's Lana" in the background. UGH! Not for anything, but I think Lana's character is still not meant for Clark so no re-writes Mr. Producer. It's definitely Lois all the way!
How many of you are tired seeing Clark and Lana on and off again? Then on and off again, it's a bit tiring. Just pick one and stick with it. The producers must not know that Lois and Clark has to start developing their weird but distinctive relationship now. Lana will always be apart of Clarks life but his love for Lois is what shapes him and defines his destiny.
So Lana fans..... Get over it and let it GO!!!!
Lois needed to be in this weeks Smallville. She adds energy to the mix, spice to the game. We are doing the Lana last episode countdown and are throwing a party. From Lana to Lois, in the words of Beyonce' give me the upgrade:O)
On the menu for Lana's final appearance and to celebrate more Lois, Sweets to celebrate what will be one of the sweetest moments in Smallville history,(IMHO) pumpkin spice fudge, Rasberry truffle brownies, chocolate macadamia nut brownies, and pralines (pronounced Prah-lines:O)
For those who need more substantial fare, there will also be served Curried chicken salad served in pita bread, buttermilk fried chicken, and Gumbo. All this with a platter of Mighty good biscuits and a bit of molasses and real butter ready on the side for mouth waterin goodness.
B.Y.O.B , come feast and enjoy the show which we will screen on my son's new 52 inch HDTV . We realize the event is a couple of weeks in the making, and in the meantime we need to put up with a few more episodes of Lana and that ilk, however we are intrepid and endeavoring to persevere. we are sustaining ourselves during the wait with teriyaki meatballs, lasagne, and of course pizza.
Its a tough long wait but we are prepared to do it.

I am an avid Lois fan so naturally my preferences are all those instances where Lois is kicking butt, looking good and taking no prisoners.
Sometimes it seems as if Smallville wants to downplay the role Lois has in the Superman Mythos and substitute Lana.
I do not see this as a good thing and will be presenting a spin on smallville that has Lois as the mainstay using her brains, beauty, and martial arts skills to get her story, several men and a grammy. ( I have written a fanfic that has Lois going undercover as the lead singer of an alternative rock band named Valkyrie, their debut cd wild hunt goes to the top of the charts and she wins a grammy and a pulitzer for her undercover work investigating a series of murders of alternative bands working ren fairs)
The emphasis on Lana as the impetus for Clark becoming the boy in blue lacks a certain panache. She is whiny, ineffectual and lacks the strengths Lois demonstrates both in the comic and smallville continuums.
I propose a Lois, Lex, Clark Triangle ( my fanfic tango Loislane, has lois doing the masochistic tango with lex, and then again with Oliver and then again with clark, it seques into an entire series of , Loving Lois Lane stories, with Lex and Lois, Oliver and Lois, and Clark and Lois amongst others)
We need more Lois active and undercover, let's have her involved in stories that address the Hero in all of us ( fanfic where she rescues kids in Dafar from war camp, and breaks up a white slavery ring in Bosnia etc. ) and sings Heros ala Mariah Carey style on an outdoor stage in Metropolis to an audience of thousands, much to the chagrin and fascination of Lex Luthor.
Lois as a weapons master, swords, knives, and a crack shot, as well as a talented singer, dancer and mistress of disguise. I would love to have a scene where Lois and Tess Thai kickbox and Lois kicks Tess's butt.
Let's change Lanes and have Lois as the real reason behind the man of steel and get off this current track of Lana as the end all and be all reason for the superman saga.
I think that the production company is afraid to go all out on Lois's character, they don't want to make her too hot, too sexy, or too savvy. I say bring on the Lane, have her dating the head crime lord of the city (and his son) make her the girl all the bad boys, and not just a few of the good guys want. Let Lois be the object of Tess's angst, Lex's lust, and Oliver's fantasy (No Ollie I don't look back, or do return engagements when it comes to relationships). Let Lois embody the line from working girl " I have a brain built for business (journalism) and a body built for sex." Bring on the Lane!
