How I'd Intro this beast
[Clark, Lois, & Chloe board a plane from London (where Ollie’s League was operating) to Washington D.C at night.] Clark: [Checks his pocket & feels his octagonal disk, then nervously says] Where do we sit? Chloe: [Smiles at Clark and grabs his hand] Right here by the window between me and Lois. Clark: [Quickly sits down and buckles up] Lois: Relax Clark, we have barf bags and mints. Besides, man has been flying long before your parent’s first hot all-nighter together. Clark: [Shakes head] Thanks for the imagery Lois. As if I needed another reason to be sick. Chloe & Lois: [Laugh] [Plane takes off into the night and flies through the storm heads] Pilot: [Over intercom in a kind voice] This is the pilot, we might experience some slight turbulence. Just try to relax and we’ll get through this in no time at all. Clark: [Sneers] Right. Chloe: [Notices Clark grabbing the arm rest too tightly and so grabs his hand and smiles to try to be reassuring] We’ll be alright Clark, we’re together here. [A red flash pierces through the plane just two seats ahead of the trio. Then flames and a bang] Clark: [Sees the front section of the plane, only two seats ahead, fall away. To himself] Oh no. Trio: [Their seat belts fail as their plane section barrel rolls downward. They‘re pinned on the floor of the plane, slowly being sucked out.] Clark: [Grabs into the plane and reaches out, his hand is between Lois and Chloe. He hesitates.] Chloe: [Looks into Clarks and sees fear, looks at Lois and who looks back at Chloe. She lets go.] Lois: CHLOE! Clark: [In shock, looks at where Chloe was and then at where Lois is] LOIS! Lois, Grab my hand. Focus, Lois don’t let go. Lois: [Looks at Clark and grabs his hand] Clark: [Pulls Lois towards himself and holds her in his arm. Makes his way crawling to some remaining intact seats and buckles Lois in. He‘s then slammed into a window and with his forearms and legs barely stays in the plane. He sees a middle-aged woman and reaches out for her.] HANG ON! Woman: MY DAUGHTER! SAVE MY DAUGHTER! [She points above Clarks head] Clark: [Reaches for the girl, but she’s sucked out just before he grabs her hand. He tries to reach for the woman but she slips and is gone too. Gasps. To himself] No. [He looks away and sees a humanoid creature fly through the plane and then the tail section falls away. He‘s sucked out and tumbles for a little while through the air and lands on the front section of the plane and climbs inside.] [Lightning slightly illuminates the creature as it slashes at the helpless victims] Clark: [Can see its glowing red eyes, then hit’s the creature with intense heat vision.] Doomsday: [Is knocked out of the plane, flies back in, slashes Clark’s chest twice, then stomps Clark’s face through the plane.] Clark: [Falling] Oh God, help me. Jor-El: [Through the octagonal disk] Be calm my son, close your eyes and listen carefully. I am here. Clark: [Tries slowing his breathing down to relax, but can’t.] Jor-El: Relax your arms and legs, feel the air, you are safe. Now open your eyes, focus on my voice, and forget all the other noise. Find the planes most populated section. Clark: [Slight sobbing] What about Chloe and Lois? Jor-El: I know this hard, but the answer is simple: save as many as you can. Don’t focus on individuals now. What section of the plane has more people in it Kal-El? Clark: [Uses telescopic and X-ray vision] I see two sections. The tail section has three children in it… alive. The other has 10 adults alive. Jor-El: The loss of those children is sad, but those adults have a purpose too. Focus on those 10 adults Kal-El, not the plane but the people. I know you are hurting, but you must reach out to them! Clark: [Sobbing] I can’t, Pete could’ve…but I can’t. My chest hurts and I can’t feel my face. Jor-El: Don’t focus on the pain, it‘s only temporary. Don’t give up Kal-El, have faith, look beyond your pain, and focus on those people. Rescue them! I know you can do it, this is why you’re here Kal-El. Clark: [In pain, begins to fly to the mangled plane section] Jor-El: You’re almost there Kal-El. I am very proud of you my son. Clark: [Grasps the middle of the plane section and holds it above his head. It cracks down the middle, but he’s holding it together. He looks down.] [Booms!! Splashes!! Different parts of the plane pound into the Atlantic Ocean. An aircraft carrier comes and Clark lowers his plane fragment onto it slowly, then he superspeeds into the plane.] Clark: [Uses laser/heat vision to burn off exposed wiring and melt insulation over it. Then his focused freeze breath cools things down and put out some flames. He’s fast so to everyone it was instantaneous. ] Lois?! [Sees her head bleeding, X-ray vision reveals no broken bones but there is some internal bleeding.] [Medics arrive, Clark’s wounds are healing but his nose is broken. The medics fix that and carefully move Lois.] General Lane: [With binoculars looks on. He notices Lois on a stretcher and Clark beside her.] The sky is clear now open up on that [...]! Captain: It’s long gone sir. [In the next scene, General Lane and Clark talk about what happened in private. The General tries to sooth Clark and eventually says “what a flight huh son?” Clark replies, “it was my first.” Clark learns that the reason an aircraft carrier was near by was because they were patrolling the area for that beast. Three or four other planes have gone down in the area recently, military and civilian. Covered up so the military could respond to the threat without that threat knowing it. Clark is upset about them being used as bait like that, Clark then reminds the General of Chloe‘s death. The General talks about a town in England during WWII that was sacrificed to protect the fact that the Allies had broken the Nazi codes, if the town was rescued from the bombing then the Nazis would’ve known their code was compromised. General Lane reveals they now have footage of the beast and of a shadowy figure dropping the plane section they were in. The General tells Clark that he knows he saved the day, he recalls the incident between Clark and his men when Chloe was missing. “Only an extraordinary man can take on two of my people,” he says. He reassures Clark by saying, “I didn’t get this job because I dropped the names of every good guy I knew, I keep secrets on daily basis even from my daughter and I would ask that you do the same about this operation. Even from Lois. Our relationship is strained enough.” Clark agrees and says he should’ve saved more. The General tells him, “never let guilt or regret over come you, learn from your mistakes and try to do better next time. We all mess up sometimes Clark. Ah hell when I first joined I was a major screw-up, however I learned best from my mistakes. I forgot a lot of what I was taught by academy instructors, but not the lessons I learned from my own mistakes.” Clark replies, “you sound like my father.” He realizes Jor-El just dropped out at some point and looks for the disk but can’t find it. Just then a doctor brings news that Lois is awake. General Lane and Clark go see Lois and then see the footage of the attack. A clip shows the disk falling through the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.]
OSCK’s speculations over news that Smallville Show Runners are Leaving
Op/ED by Kate Blake

Today was a day full of controversy and some surprises. First- the article posted yesterday that ran on SCIFI Wire was revised after the news that season 8 would be the year of Lois and Clark coming into their own on Smallville. Executive Producer Brian Peterson must have gotten excited and ahead of himself because today the listing was revised and the LNC spoilers were removed- otherwise the post is pretty much the same.
Apparently things got so heated on the Television Without Pity forums yesterday they had to shut down the Smallville spoiler boards for a few hours. TWOP is home to Chloisers- fans of Smallville who cling to the belief that Chloe Sullivan is the real Lois Lane and one day she will magically step into Lois’s shoes even though Lois Lane was brought onto the series in Season 4 and is now a well established character well on her way to becoming the iconic Lois Lane fearless reporter that she has been in the comics for 70 years.
To stir the pot sources today posted an open letter from Smallville creators Millar and Gough stating they are leaving the show and will not be involved with season 8. You can go over to Mania.com and read the letter- it is also reprinted in this blog in the post just previous to this one.
What does this mean? It means your OSCK admins can laugh and strut a little bit and look to the sky for maybe there is hope that our superheroe’s destiny just became a lot closer.
